I’m Nichelle “Nikki” Turner, a passionate leader with over 20 years of experience across law enforcement, real estate, and nonprofit management. For two decades, I served in law enforcement in New Jersey, where I developed a deep commitment to integrity, community, and service.

After retiring from that chapter, I followed my creative passions into real estate — a field where my love for design and home transformation truly came to life. As a Certified Staging Professional (CSP), I’ve managed and executed countless staging projects, partnering with real estate professionals, investors, and families to reimagine spaces and bring out their fullest potential.

In 2015, I relocated to Maryland and joined one of the DMV’s leading staging companies. What began as a role as a staging assistant grew into an incredible journey that led me to serve as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing operations, logistics, finances, marketing, and design. During my tenure, I helped guide the company’s growth into a thriving million-dollar business.

My entrepreneurial spirit inspired me to co-found Step Above Staging LLC, where I continue to merge creativity with purpose. But my heart for service led me even further — to found Marie’s House, a nonprofit created in honor of my grandmother, Georgia “Marie” Daniels. Through partnerships with staging companies, Marie’s House repurposes donated furnishings to help single parents create homes filled with warmth, stability, and dignity. We also provide financial literacy resources to help families build long-term security.

Above all, I’m most proud of being a mother to my adult twin daughters. They remind me daily of the power of love, resilience, and possibility — values that drive everything I do, both personally and professionally.
