Vice President

Maria Murphy

Maria Murphy, PMP, CSM, is a seasoned program and operations leader with extensive experience across public service programs, nonprofit organizations, and highly regulated environments. She serves as Vice President of Marie’s House, where she provides strategic oversight, operational leadership, and hands-on support to ensure the organization’s programs are effective, compliant, and built for long-term impact.

Maria is not a consultant who delivers a report and walks away. She works alongside staff to understand how systems operate in real life, identify barriers, and design practical solutions that strengthen daily operations and support sustainable growth. Her leadership approach centers on collaboration, clarity, and execution—turning ideas into systems that truly work.

With a strong background in training, business operations, and implementation, Maria began her career in Property and Casualty insurance as a trainer in underwriting and claims, where accuracy, documentation, and compliance were essential. Over the past decade, she has led the development of workflows, policies and procedures, and training materials that support operational change, including process maps, step-by-step guides, and tools that help teams confidently adopt new systems.

Maria holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, along with Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) credentials. She also earned the Administrator Certification (ARF) through the California Department of Social Services after being sponsored by a client to design the operational and compliance framework for a newly licensed program. She pursued this certification because she believes that if something is worth building, it should be accurate, compliant, and built to last—a philosophy that reflects her integrity, attention to detail, and deep commitment to excellence.
